The Bi-State Pool & Spa team is made of many individuals whose passion for pools and spas transcends beyond just building an average backyard. Our team is dedicated to designing and building custom poolscapes you and your family can enjoy for years to come and providing quality service and maintenance so you can spend your time where it matters most…in the water. The Bi-State team is very active within the professional industry and has dedicated many hours to bettering their craft through industry education and certification. Rick Woemmel, President

Rick is the founder and President of Bi-State Pool & Spa. The company started out of a bedroom / office in his first house in 1994. Rick is involved in many organizations and is a past President of the PHTA.org St. Louis Chapter, Chair of the national Builders Council, and has served on many other committees. He is a Certified Building Professional, a Certified Service Professional of the year (2018) and a Certified Pool Operator Instructor. Rick has three kids, who he enjoys boating and fishing with, he is an inactive SCUBA instructor, has a passion for diving and is a terrible golfer. FORE!

Matt Ottinger, Executive Vice President

Matt and Rick met in 1990 when Matt was an aquatic supervisor at a YMCA. He went on to be the first aquatic supervisor at the St. Peters Rec-Plex when it opened in 1994. Shortly thereafter, he joined Rick as his business partner and helped develop Bi-State Pool & Spa into its present-day status. Matt is also a former swim team coach and enjoys spending time with his 3 kids as they excel in sports and dance. He and his wife Danielle are constantly on the move with kids activities. In his spare time, Matt is an avid hunter.

Nathan Crabtree , COO

Graduated from John A Logan College in Southern Illinois with a Construction Management degree in 2002. Shortly after moved to St. Louis and fell into a starting position at Bi-State Pools. Over the years have held positions as Labor, Crew Leader, Project Manager in Construction to Service Manager and now COO overseeing all aspects of the business. Serve as a board member on the St. Louis Pool and Hot Tub Alliance. With this position have developed professional relationships with pool construction and service companies both local and nationwide. My goal is to continue to work on the Business environment and customer satisfaction. We strive for employees that customers enjoy having in the backyard all the way from the construction of the pool to years down the road with service. Outside of work my family and I are weekend warriors.

Adam Laurentius, V.P. of Constuction

Joined the company in 2008 as a service technician, which gave me a solid foundation in the field. In 2010, I transitioned to the construction department, where I took on the role of Crew Leader. Over the years, I've worked my way up to my current position as V.P. of Construction. Outside of work, my wife and I have two kids, and we really value our time together. We love to travel and explore new places as a family. When we're not on the road, we spend as much time as possible outdoors, enjoying nature and all the activities it has to offer.

Kyle Lindsey , V.P. of Service

My Professional career started in the electrical industry doing all aspects from residential to industrial. In 2014 I relocated to St. Louis from Kansas and took a Service Technician position at Bi-State Pools. Since then moved to Construction to develop our Gunite Pool install crew, Became a project manager for construction and renovation jobs, Operations manager, and in 2024 made the switch back to Service to be the V.P. of Service. My focus is quality of work and efficiency of operations.

Greg Dickinson , Sales and Pre-Construction Manager

Since 2001, I have been actively involved in the pool industry, starting as a lifeguard and progressing through roles as a field technician and supervisor. In 2009, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management from Missouri State University. After graduating, I worked as a Project Manager, focusing on the construction of both residential and commercial swimming pools. In 2017, I joined Bi-State Pool and Spa to further develop the concrete pool construction division. Currently, I lead the Pre-construction and commercial operations, which includes managing all facets of design, sales, permitting, and project management. My objective is to leverage my expertise to assist clients in transforming their backyard dreams into tangible designs and realities.

Amanda Bauer, Sales and Pre-Construction Manager

I began working for Bi-State Pools in 2016, starting in the lifeguard division and serving as an office manager. Over the years, I’ve grown with the company and now manage new construction sales, design, and permitting. I specialize in vinyl liner and fiberglass pools, with a passion for creating beautiful, well-designed, and high quality backyard spaces. Outside of work, my husband Levi and I manage a Duck Hunting Club where our 4 energetic boys create lasting memories and a love for the outdoors.

Joe Rammacher, V.P. of Renovations

Started working for Bi-State Pools in 1996 as the first employee of the business. Have held positions from Chlorine truck driver, Service Technician, Renovation Project manager, and in 2016 took on the position of V.P. of Renovations. Doing tasks from Renovation sales to Project Management. One of my biggest challenges was transitioning to a role that used all the skills that I have learned over the previous 20 years to challenge new staff to take on roles within the renovation department. Outside of work you can find my family and I running around Benton Park in South St. Louis City.

Kristy, Office Manager

Started working for Bi-State in 2014. Starting position was assistant to the V.P. of Service doing scheduling and contracts for the service department. Since then have taken on the roll as Office Manager and HR Department for both Construction and Service. With 52 people on staff in the summer it is a steady pace of administrative processes and making sure staff is taking full advantage of company benefits. Working for a small business that is also seasonal means when we are busy everyone jumps in to help out. Outside of working I enjoy spending time with family and friends relaxing and hanging out.
